We are about half way through the season. Nationals are riding on a five game winning streak to keep some sort of a pace while Hartford has cooled off a bit.
Over in the National League, New Haven is running with a 7 game winning streak. Both expansion teams are performing well, despite tough opponents.

The 1876 Season will feature two relocated teams.

New Haven Elm Citys move to Cincinnati and will be called the Reds

July 25th 1876 Update

Hartford looks like the team to catch. Nationals are 10 games back and it will be very difficult to do. Over in the NL, Cincinnati is contending with New York and Louisville,
both have lost 3 and 4 straight games while the Red reeled off 6 wins. Marshall King leads the league with 9 HRs. Hartford's Dick Higham had his 32 game hitting streak
halted on July 24th by the Louisville Grays. The second half is just getting started.

August 28th 1876 Update

Hartford and Cincinnati have not shown any signs of slowing up for the rest of the teams. Washington lost some ground and we are 12 games back. Ross Barnes (Louisville)
and Ezra Sutton (Boston) are the hot hitters. Barnes is batting .500 in August and Sutton is .426 in August as well. Marshall King hit his league leading HR, 11 for the season.

Hartford Dark Blues take revenge. Hartford took the World Series over Cincinnati whom beat them the previous year as New Haven.
