Warriors Take 2 of 3 From Marlboro

We took 2 of 3 from Marlboro but lost 19-1 in the final game. The bright side for the 1st 2 games..Bruno Scott has taken over 1B for now and has done really well going 7 for 25 .280 3 R Hr 3 RBI this past week. Tank is batting around .080. I put him on waivers hoping someone claims him. Barney Rubble hit 2 HR this week and I have him hitting 5th for now. Fred Flintstone finally got his 1st EBL HR and his average is beginning to raise. Oko had a great week as you can see below. For this series we won 8-2 in Game 1 & 9-4 in Game 2, winning 5 in a row. Game 3 no one could pitch or field. I had my troubles in RF, Abscott Nunan gave up 9 ER. all 5 MR gave up at least 2 R.

Up next a 3 game set vs the Ford Thunderbirds 9-5 leading the AL East by 1.5 games. They play their home games in Ford Field a model of Forbes Field. We get a much needed day off after this series, playing 13 games in a row. The T-Birds are led by 1B John Baker, 3B Jim Thompson, C John Higgins and SP Jim Higgins.

Ford Takes 2 of 3

Lost 2 - 6 in Game 1, Won 9-1 in Game 2 and got destroyed in Game 3 1-14. SP Brad Stupec got injured in the 1st, I brought in Don Mater vs using a LHP which I should have done and Mater got killed. Could not find the strike zone for anything. Eddie Wheaton also got injured, so since i lost Wheaton and with Stupec's diagnosis pending i put Wheaton on the 15 day DL and recalled CL Dave McCluskie. Curry will move from CL to long relief..

Update: Stupec is out for the season. I recalled Manuel Torres from AAA. He was drafted from Madison Heights in the ED. Dick Kronfield came off the DL and was assigned to AAA Pippen on a rehab assignment.

Next Series: 3 games vs Ewok Village. They play in Chirps Field a model of Fenway. They are led by the electrifying Screwball LHP, 1B Wicket R. Warwick, 2B Teebo & C Scudworth J. Cinnamon. They are 9-7 1.5 GB Ford.

Ewok Village Sweeps The Warriors

We looked bad this series. Too many BB by the pitchers, too many HR given up. defense was bad. Scores Game 1 - 2-11, Game 2 - 3-7 & Game 3 0-13.

Up next: 3 Game series @ Colortown Parrots 11-9 tied for 1st in the AL West. They are led by SP Jim Cecil, SS Fatih Rajabhushan, 3B Dev Illison & LF Galen Cisner. They are the defending Champions. RF Pat Parayno just went den for 4 months with an injury. They play in Parrot Stadium a model of the Big A in Anaheim.
In other news: CF Kevie Oko has a 12 game hitting streak.

Warriors Get Swept By Parrots

Pitching was much better this series but the bats are non existent. Made several moves after Game 2. I traded Claudio Torrez to Bird City for a low level prospect OF. Torres had 5 E and was not hitting. Sucks I had high expectations for him. i hate o give up on a player I like so much. I recalled Martin Prado from AAA. Prado will take over at 3B for Flintstone and they will platoon vs RHP. I then traded Carlos Martinez to Jabba City Crime Lords of the TBL for OF Ryan Tunnicliffe. I have 9 OF at AAA, gonna have to cut & trade some soon. I recalled 1B Dick Kronfield from AAA and put Tunnicliffe at AAA. Made several lineup moves.

Next Series: 4 Game set @ Highland Scot

The Scots play their home games in Irish Stadium a model of Milwaukee County Stadium. They are led by SP's R.A. Dickey, J.R. Maurning & Cedric Ball. On Offense their best star is 2011 AL ROTY LF Johnny Bates. We took 3 of 4 vs them in our park earlier in the month.

Warriors Drop 3 of 4 to Scots

Pitching was solid except in game 4, but my offense is struggling. Kronfield is batting .067 thru 15 AB's. Getting tired of struggling. I will play one home series and 1 road series vs each team then i am simming the season.

Ewoks Take 2 of 3 From Warriors

Trying to find a decent offensive player is becoming hard with so many competitive leagues. Very few quality FA's on the market available. Got our 1st save in Game 3. Ewok Village is a good team. I was somewhat happy with 1 win. Kronfield's bat is coming around a lil bit.

Next Series: Ford Thunderbirds

a Much need off day then 3 games at home vs the Ford Thunderbirds. Led by SP Jose Medina, RF Seung-Hyeon Chong, SP Jim Higgins, SP Eric Hicks & 1B John Baker. We went 1-2 in Ford in April.
Made a roister move. Demoted CL Dave McCluskie 0-1 5 BB 4IP. Recalled MR Fyodor Chekmasov, the 1st Klingon to play in the EBL. Drafted him while I was with Rock City and drafted from RC in the ED.

Warriors Take 2 of 3 From Ford

Almost won all 3. If we just had a lil bit more offense. Pitching was solid. Granger & Mater both went the distance. Nunan went 7 Checmaskov had a hitless 8th and Limbo Rush who normally is good gave up a leadoff triple to Chong who later scored teh game winner. Rush is a weird character, I know he has control issues at times but he is historically better vs RH batters vs lefities.

Up Next: A 3 game set @ Endor City. Lead by superstar 2B Kevin France, 1B Scott Burns, CL Pablo Escalante, SP's John Williams, Enos "40" Watts & Steve Willis. We dropped 2 to them to open the season at home. Out of all the AL teams the Warriors play against this is my favorite team to play, even though we will probably lose. Someday I hope to return to Endor City as the GM.

Several Trades

To try to add more offense and get rid of guys that are clogging up my team I made a series of trades.
Trade #1 - I traded Prado to Mos Eisley Banthas for SS Lawrence Herbert. Hebie can play all 4 IF spots and is solid on D.

Trade #2 - Traded Sherman Allen to Fort Tuskan Raiders for LF Ryan Roberts. Great offense no defense. He will be a pinch hitter and play LF vs LHP.
Hate to see Tank go but he was 2-15 as a PH and with Kronfield hitting now I did not need 3 1B.

Trade #3 - Gilberto Castro to Mos Espa Eopies for Djodja Nikolic a Vulcan LF. He was sent to AAA. Castro was out of options and not hitting. Hate to lose him.

I also signed 36 yr olfd SS Tristan Mulholland who played with Sharke, Mater, Oko & Granger in Trout and Steel Mill. Mostly a glove but can hit still.

Capitals Shut Out Warriors, Twice!

John Williams & 40 Watts both pitched shut outs vs us. They were good. Granger had a rare bad outing. Defense is killing us. My lack of range in RF is hurting the team. Thinking of firing my hitting coach Gerald Perry or BC Joey Cora. The offense just isn't there. Glenallen Hill had most of the players I had at 2+ stars.
Oko hit a mammoth shot in Game 2.

Next Series: 3 game set vs Marlboro Reds. They are 3 games better then us in the East. Hopefully the new moves can translate into wins. I am running out of moves. Reds are led by 3B John Coff, SS Alonzo King & SP R. J. Reynolds.

Reds Win Series From Warriors

Reds took 2 of 3. I simmed games 2 & 3 since I already played them at home already. Jody Gerut suffered a mild Hamstring Strin in Game 1 and SP Don Mater left the game in the 8th with Back Tightness and will miss 5 -7 days. Neither will be put on the DL.

Next Series: 3 games @ Stryper Red Devils. Devils are led by CF Andrew Jackson & 3B Comte De Grasse along with SP Alix Jeanty. They play in Hostess Stadium a model of Olympic Stade Stadium.

Warriors On A 4 game Winning Streak

Swept Stryper. Great pitching from out team. Bert Thornhill got a spot start in Game 2 and went 7 giving up 3 ER in the 1st and then shut them down the rest of the way. It still took 14 innings to win that game though. Game 3 Twinkletoes Flintstone hit the eventual game winning HR. Manny Torres gave me 3 strong innings in relief to finish out the game started by Nunan. We had 4 SB in Game 3. !st game we were really able to run in. Catchers arms are getting better in this league. When I was with Endor City most AL catchers had bad arms and everyone could run on them.

Next Series: 3 games @ Ewok Village
I am simming this series.

Warriors Streak Comes To An End

Ewok Village took 2 of 3 from us. Pitching was bad.

In other news: Jim Cecil of Colortown threw his 1st no hitter.
Curry won the AAA POTW award.

Next Series: 3 games vs Bird City Falcons
Falcons are led by 1B Rick Baker, the oft injured Donny "Pudge" Druzbik, SP's Jim MArler, Norman McDuffie & Jim Causus.
Hoping to intentionally BB Baker and pitch around him and see if Duzbik can beat us.

Bird City Takes 2 of 3.

The 1st 2 games were uneventful. Game 3. Jim Hindrickson went deep into the game and pitched excellent. Baker did not do much in Games 1 & 3. But had 3 hits in Game 2 and Druzbik also had 3 hits.

Trades Again: i traded Lawrence Herbert to Sony for RF Paul Phillips. Needed a defensive replacement for LF & RF. Demoted Fred Flintstone and recalled 3B/LF Todd Frazier. Also demoted Manual Torres & recalled SP William Montgomery a LHP from AAA.

Next series: 3 games vs Ford & 4 games @ Stryper. I am simming both series to close out the month.
