Question about game display

OK, this is the first FHM I have purchased since 1, and there are obviously differences.

One question I have for now is the game display. The bar at the bottom of the game play screen shows a running dialog of what is happening in the game. Occasionally, a rink will pop up superimposed over the screen directly above that bottom bar showing puck movement. However, in the games I have run, it comes and goes. Should this rink show continually while play is in progress? I know there is the highlights box, but it would be nice to have the other rink I refer to corresponding to the dialog at the bottom. I guess my question for now is - should it be?
