number of option years

Hi, I'm playing with OOTP 2018.
When spring training start, the new players put in the 40 man roster (for avoiding rule 5 picks) have 3 option years left. And that will remain if you take them in the spring training roster and then demote them after spring training. But if you demote one of them immediately at the start of spring training (I demote him in double AA) his option years becomes 2! It happens to me 2 times, in different years. I don't remember if in the previous year demote them all in double A, so I can't say if the problem is with double A or with early demotion during spring training. But it's definitely a bug.
