- CEO of Baseball operations: Sort of like GM mode, only you hand over more control to your GM.

And this would tie into

- GM tasks: you tell your GM, "Hey, find me a young second baseman who has gold glove capability in the field." Your GM would do things like set up a potential trade for one - like giving up a front line starting pitcher and a minor league prospect for said second baseman. You would have the option vetoing it or accepting it. The quality of the trade would be commensurate with the rating of your GM.

I guess this would be like when another team presents you with a trade, but the difference being your GM presents you with trades tailored to what YOU want for the team, rather than getting some bogus AI trade from another team that is totally ridiculous.

It might also even the playing field between you and the AI in terms of trade logic by having the AI negotiate with itself.

Many MLB teams have a President who fills some or all of the stuff described.

Yes, but many team presidents do hire GMs. Look at Theo Epstein. He's president and Jed Hoyer does the dirty work. (GM) That's not to say Theo doesn't have a hand in the day today operations. Dave Dombrowski is looking to hire a GM as well.

All it is, is an idea for another level of play in OOTP. I think it would be a new level of fun.

before we make goals to GM's I want to give goals to a manager as a GM. For example, I want to see Joe Smith play 200 innings of defense at RF.

I personally would love to see a position such as President added. Since I play with the real MLB set-up, there are a lot of high profile ex-Gm's that are now presidents that would be nice to see with their rightful teams

I like how Football Manager handles their staffs in game. You can delegate many tasks to the appropriate staff member and even suggest signings to the GM/Director of Football. OOTP should incorporate something similar.

I'd even like to see base coaches and stuff even if it's just cosmetic. I don't like seeing guys i knowthat are employed by MLB teams getting hired by the foreign and indy teams
