Add "Rule 5 Eligibility" to the Views and Filters fields Reason Would allow you to easily look at your entire organization in the Roster page, and see at a glance which players are eligible for the Rule 5 draft. This would be WAY easier than tediously looking through each player individually, or looking on the transaction screen. Priority Medium |

Recreate 6.5's transaction screen Reason 6.5's transaction screen shows a lot more information- active roster, 40 man roster, 3 levels of minors, waivers, DFA, etc allowing me to make all of my rosters moves in one screen. 2007 shows only 4 of these things forcing me to go from screen to screen. Right now I don't feel immersed into the game because I usually use the "AI set up organization" option due to my dislike of the transactions screen. I know you can use the options listed under right click, but sometimes I need to see the roster so I know who to call up/send down (don't want to call up too many outfielders). Priority Low, haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else but it is a big deal to me lol Last edited by Mattingly06 : 07-06-2007 at 11:05 AM. |

Make sortable ratings lists sortable by a COMBINATION of ratings. Reason This will make player searches easier and less time consuming. For example, in the inaugural draft, if I'm looking for a leadoff man, the ratings that are most important to me are Contact, Eye, Speed, and Stealing Ability. Presently, I can only sort player lists by one of these ratings at a time. The ability to locate the player who has the best combination of two or more ratings would greatly help when one is searching for players to fill a particular role. Priority. Medium. Not essential, but something that should be included.

Sortable columns on all items, eg Batter v Pitcher Reason Although it might not be part of the maths to find out if the batter is going to get a hit against a certain pitcher, I would still like to see who has faced who the most, who has the most hits against the pitcher, best average etc. Priority High |

On the options/preview screen prior to starting a game, allow strategy defaults to be chosen, i.e. Manager does Defensive and Substitutions, GM does Offensive and Pitching, etc... Reason For those using settings other than the current defaults (to GM), it's one less step in pre-game activities. Priority Low

Suggestion: Go back to having three lines of stats on the broadcast screen in the pitcher\batter box like we had in 6.5 and before. I'd like to see..
today: this year: last year: It appears to me there is room as there is a blank line in the current batter box under the vs R\L line. On the pitcher card drop the "Endurance" line down with the "status" and make a split line like the batters "bunt for hit\ sacrifice bunt" line. You could then drop the "ratings" sections on both the pitcher and batter boxes down one line and have room in the "stats" section for last years stats. Reason: It's information that I think most who play out games like to see but now it requires an extra two clicks, one to open the player card and one to close it back to the game. Priority: High Last edited by Sweed : 07-10-2007 at 07:36 PM. |

Kind of goes with my last suggestion..
Suggestion: On the broadcast screen the pitcher box has a "status" line which shows "ok(pitches thrown)" Get rid of the "status OK" and replace with "pitches(xxx\xxx)" where xxx is pitches thrown\strikes. Reason: As is the status\ok line is pretty much useless other than showing pitches thrown. Adding pitches for strikes is much more useful imformation IMHO. Priority: high |

Make all roster move confirmation dialogs optional. Reason When, e.g., clearing out excess minor leaguers in rookie ball, I may end up clicking 'OK' to 'are you sure you want to release JJ Sprinkles [or whatever the player name]' messages thirty times in succession. 99.9% of the time I am sure, and I'm willing to live with the 0.1% if I make the error. It is among the very few times when I can find the game frustrating. If the messages can be optionally disabled, everyone should be happy. Priority Medium. |

in a player's stat's screen, compile the year's numbers when they played for two different ML teams (i.e. they were traded midseason). Perhaps have that year's line be clickable, to open up and show his stats with Team A, Team B, and Total. Reason as it is currently, you need to look more carefully when analyzing a player's whole career - at a glance, a player seems to have 3 lines of stats for every year he played for two teams. A simple BOS/NYY would suffice for the team name. However, if it's not possible to still have his splits per team available and easily accessibly, don't change anything. Priority pretty low

Make the Shortlist a little quicker to access by either A) give it its own shortcut seperate from the Search Player or B) have it default to the Shortlist first, instead of always starting on the complete player list. Or of course C) have it remember which one you used last. Reason Makes the shortlist sort of bothersome and annoying to use when you have to wait for "Assigning Scouting Reports" each and every time. Priority High. |

Add career minor league totals to the players' stats screen Reason Gives users another tool to judge a players performance and decide whether a players deserves a call up. I like baseball cube's setup, they put career minor league totals right under career major league totals. http://thebaseballcube.com/players/Y...Youkilis.shtml Priority Low |

There really should be a check to see if any human controlled team has unplayed games when the "Finish Day" button is pushed to make sure they want their team's game to be simulated. As someone mentioned in another thread that this should be an option, so that those that want to sim out all of their games don't have to confirm each game, and those of us that want to play out all our games don't make a mistake. Reason I usually play out all my games, but a couple of times I've gotten confused and hit the "Finish Day" button before I played the days game and had it sim it. Priority Medium (Should Have) |

Add splits of TEAM statistics to the available reports Reason I would really like to see (and others seconded when discussed in another thread - Where to find TEAM statistical splits?) statistical splits provided for team totals. These would enable me to investigate and answer questions like exactly how is my home park impacting my offense/pitching? How effective is my lineup against LHP/RHP? These are fundamental GM and managerial questions that can't be answered quickly with the current version of the game. Priority Low (but should be fairly easy to implement given the statistical infrastructure already in place)

When you look at a team's history it will list the team's record and other info for each individual season, however it does not list the league in which the team played. Almost every other screen that lists year by year info will display both the year and the league... the team history should as well. Reason This may seem like a minor detail, but in a promotion/relegation system or in any universe where teams frequently change leagues, it can be very frustrating to look at a team's history and not be sure which league they played in in each season. Priority Medium - For the reason above and the fact that it should be easy to add since year by year listings for players, managers etc. list both the year and the league. This isn't really a gui issue, but it's the most relevant thread I could find. I'm sure the whole almanac/history aspect could deserve its own thread. ![]()

Fix split-season functionality to show first and second half standings. If playing with split seasons, first half should END and second half BEGIN as if two seperate seasons. Rationale Currently, standings are tracked across both halves, often obscuring the ability to see the true standings for the second half. Priority Medium to high |
