Owner budget sugestion.

Suggestion:
Sometimes in OOTP 2007... I see that an owner sets a budget and the player GM goes over that budget. In the process the team makes a playoff run, makes it and comes out of the year adding to the cash balance. However can not sign contract extensions as the team is over budget.

Make a way for the GM to "negotiate" with the owner to allow for a re-evaluation of the budget OR for a way for the GM to accept a contract extension despite the over budget IF the player is popular and the team (with showing an increased revenue) can handle a larger payroll with increased revenue.

This would take some serious owner AI tweaking.

Reason:
Some added realism and would be the fix for a problem with a franchise growing financially, but the budget lagging behind a bid.

Priority:
I think it would be an awesome feature... but would still rate the priority at medium and possibly low for 2008 realease... but if not... it should be considered for the version after.

Organizational Chart

One thing to help in Owner budgets would be an Organizational Chart.

You could have a chart with all of the active roster and the years they are committed through contract and maybe the big three stats. Also make it customizable with maybe defense or speed added.

Next you would have where a player of his position within the organization fits in and your ability (scouts also) to add notes like "a year away", "can't hit a major league curve ball". Well you see my thoughts. You may also be able to have the free agents to be that you could put in this chart as a tool to help you make long term decisons.

With this in place you could easily manage the organization and see when players are up for arbitration and tradeable prospects.

Such a chart already exists. Just click on player salaries on your team's homepage.
