You know what I would kill for in OOTP? A way to create statistical categories that the game would recognize. For example, go into the options (the stat directory) and click, create new. Name it DERA, and define it as DERA=(13*HR+3*BB-2*K)/(IP)+3.20. Round it to two decimal places. And then, in the stat view menu, your custom created stats/ratings will be available to view. It basically gives the user the ability to add stats that they're interested in.

It would be really handy to have for pitchers especially (no one available stat is very reliable - I err toward using RC/27 for batters). And what about a rating system for attributes - create a rating like Rating=(contact+home run+gap/2+k/2+eye*.75) or something, for fast evaluation.

I may be the only one for whom this is appealing, but I'm very into stats and ratings (mostly my own) and I generally end up having to copy the info into excel and then do the calculations myself - being able to do them ingame would be a ton easier.

you are definitely not the only one interested in this feature. heck, your not even the only that does this type of stuff in Excel; as I do it as well. however, i would put this on the things that might be in OOTP 20, but not OOTP 10.

awesome idea...no chance it will get implemented.
