Minor league service time-based roster rules
The main limitations on players in the minors are service limits (that is, the amount of prior years of minor league service the player is allowed to have).
My suggestion is that the league be capable of defining certain roster roles and then the number of players minimum or maximum on that type can be on the roster. The design would be as such: Each league has a definition for:

A little off topic but I was wondering if anyone knew the answer. The appy league has a roster limit of no players with more than 2 years as a professional and no more than 3 years minor league service time. How do they define professional? Does it mean served on a big league club or is it experience from other baseball orgs like the independent league or foreign leagues? It seems the minor league service time is redundant if time in the rookie leagues is time as a professional.
