FaceGen Bacground Setting

I was just messing around with FaceGen and I was thinking it would be really nice to be able to pick where each team draws their backgrounds from (with each team being set to ..../facegen/backgrounds by default). It would be cool to have a number of different backgrounds with, say Fenway, and only have them used for the Red Sox pics. Just seems odd when a Yankee player ends up with Fenway as a BG

This is a good idea that I think's been suggested many times before.

In the meantime, there's a (slightly complicated) work-around for it.

What you do is, rename the folder with the backgrounds as something else, and create a new backgrounds folder. Before you start OOTP, move only the backgrounds you want to use into the new backgrounds folder. If you're going to work with the Red Sox, for example, you'd put in your Fenway and logo backgrounds but remove Yankee Stadium or Camden Yards, etc. Then you start the game up, go into the Red Sox uniform page, and tell the game to apply changes to all the players on the team. It'll regenerate the uniforms and the backgrounds, and they'll all have your Red-Sox-centric backgrounds.

Then do the same thing with the other teams. The trouble is that (IIRC) you have to shut the game down completely when you change the contents of the backgrounds folder, because the game loads the backgrounds when it starts up. It takes a fair amount of time to do the work for all the teams in a league.

It would be nice if the game was able to re-load stuff like the backgrounds while it was still running, but I'm not sure how difficult that would be to code, or if Markus is even interested in giving the game that level of flexibility.

I asked for something similar pertainign to ballparks at level. So Pros woudl have pics form a file with pro ballpark backgrounds, AAA at AAA backgrounds ect ect.
