Please add Venezuelan to the top of the Nationality pull-down menu

Currently on the Editor tab of a player's profile screen, there are these choices at the top of the Nationality pull-down menu: American, Canadian, Cuban, Dominican, Japanese, Mexican, and Puerto Rican. I'm pretty sure that Venezuelan is the 3rd (or perhaps 4th) most common nationality in modern MLB/MiLB, so it should be listed there. I've recently created a hundred or so minor leaguers that weren't included in OOTP 11 (Venezuelan Summer League imports, Dominican Summer League imports , 2011 MLB draftees, etc.) via the Create Fictional Player pathway, and it's pretty painful to scroll down to the very bottom of the complete Nationality pull-down menu to get to the Venezuelan choice.

It's at the top in my game (version 11.2.28)

Unfortunately, you won't be able to change this unless you start a new game. However, the good news is that it can very easily be fixed.

Open the nations.txt file in the database folder and locate Venezuela in the list of nations. (The line should read "210,Venezuela,Venezuela,VEN,Venezuelan,6,4,.. .") Immediately following the sixth comma is the number 4, which is Venezuela's Baseball Level rating. In order for a nation to appear at the top of the dropdown menu, this number needs to be a 5, so change it to a 5 and save the file. Venezuela should now appear at the top of the menu the next time you start a new game.

For some reason, Venezuela's rating is set low in the default nations database, although it has apparently been corrected in some modified databases, which is probably why it IS at the top of the menu for some of you.

By the way, since changes to the nations and cities databases only take effect when you start a new game, you may want to scan through the rest of the file and see if there are any other changes you wish to make before you continue.

EDIT: I'll try to remember to edit the default database so that Venezuela is rated more accurately in OOTP 12.

Thanks for replying Muzamba. I forgot that I do a lot of modifications to my text files and some people don't. That explains why Venezuela is at the top in my game. Hopefully, that clears it up for the OP.

Great response, Muzamba.

I just wanted to share that the nations at the top of my pull-down are US, Canada, Dominican Republic, England, Germany, and Spain.
