Pitching Speeds and Types

I've made the suggestion before, bu the pitch speeds need to be adjusted. Especially for the Changeups and Curveballs. Only the best Changes would you see the sometimes 20mph difference that every pitcher in the game has. Curves are the same as all seem to be the 12/6 Curve and no pitcher has the hard curve.

That leads into pitch types..I think the fastball should be broken down into 4 and 2 seam and more specialty pitches should be added. Like the Shutto, Vulcan Change, Gyro, and break the Curve down into 12/6 and a hard curve. It would just give a more realistic feel, and eventually pitchers could learn new pitches from other pitchers on their team, Organization Pitching Instructors, Spring Training Assistants, and Pitching Coaches.

This along with full coaching staffs are the two biggest needs for realism in my opinion.

ques what do u mean only the best chaneups have a 20 mph difference....T. Shinjo when he was with the White Sox is the only pitcher i have seen throw a fastball ( if u can call it that) at 87 then throw a changeup at 52...at 39 yrs old i wouldnt say either pitch was that impressive.

i semi disagree on the overall additional of those pitch types but would like to see the slurve added. spitball for historical leagues.

What additional coaches did u want added? other then maybe 1B & 3B coach I wouldnt want to deal with addit minor league coaches.

Learning a new pitch from an exp PC would be a great idea.

I mean it seems that every pitcher in the game seems to throw the change between 15-20 mph different than their fastball. I meant that is a really great change, not that some couldn't be even better.

I'm not sure how you could be against adding pitches used, but be for adding pitches for historical reasons. It probably wouldn't take too much to add new pitches.

I like the minor league coaches for realism, managers on MLB teams just pop up from nowhere and they usually come from within the minors or have a lot of experience somewhere coaching or scouting.

I mean like 1st, 3rd, Bullpen Coach, and a Special Assistant. I'm also for Managers (if you are the GM) being given the option to pick their staff or have that negotiated in the contract.

But I think roving Fielding Instructor, Pitching Instructors, and Hitting Instructors adds realism and takes away from a GM's stats influencing the team. Besides his personality his baseball knowledge doesn't effect the players on the field, that's what the coaches are for.
