More depth for international scouting
I had a similar thread about this in the "new to the game" forum. I've noticed that my scouting director will report back to me 2-3 times a year about a random scouting trip to some random country (korea, angola, canada, etc). Each email just mentions 1 prospect he has found. In 40+ simmed seasons I've yet to see my scout (who has "legendary" scout ratings for all categories) report back on a great prospect. It's always some bum... a 24 year old MR with 1 star potential, for example.
I enjoy getting the emails though... I figure at some point he'll luck out and find a diamond in the rough. I attempted to increase my international scouting budget (i had it as 1 million dollars dedicated just to international scouting), but it didn't notice any difference... still had the same 2-3 emails a year. I have noticed superstars in the game that were discovered through international scouting by other teams... and once saw a 16 year old prospect signed by a team who had 4.5 star potential... so I know the potential is there. I suggest adding some depth to this feature. Depending on the budget, you should be able to pick which countries you want your scout to visit during a year. A trip to Canada shouldn't cost as much as a trip to Japan, right? Also... wouldn't you want your scout to visit places like dominican republic and Puerto Rico every year? Also would be nice to see a list of all the players a scout evaluated on the trip and not just "the top prospect". |
