Youth Player Developmental Facilities
I was just thinking and an AWESOME feature for OOTP 13 would be if teams would have like youth developmental facilities in countries like Dominican Republic, and other baseball countries.
Here is and idea of how this feature would work: - All Teams start out with no facilities, have to use their own budget to build facilities in locations around the world. When a facility is first built, the youth facility's rating is very low, the more the team upgrades the facility, the higher the facility's rating is which means that the facility will be able to produce better players.Different ways to upgrade facility could be to get better staff pr coaches for the facility who can influence the players or by paying money for the facility to get better. - If a player is progressing well/playing well in the facility, they could get the call up to the organization's main minor league system, and very rarely you can get a player like Starlin Castro who comes up through an organization's developmental facility and becomes a star With the recent addition of international scouting/player development budget, this would be a perfect feature to take the play development process of OOTP one step further! This feature could also make the game more realistic, for example: Teams like the Yankees who have a lot of money will probably have top notch facilities, but a team with less money who cannot build there team by signing expensive FA will have to decide if they want to fork over the extra cash with hopes of creating a star like Starlin Castro. A perfect example of this feature would be like in the movie 'Sugar' where a player is scouted in the Dominican Republic and goes from a teams facility in the DR and into the team's minor league system in the US. Sugar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar_(2008_film) If you like this idea please comment on it or something so that the developers can see! Last edited by md5423; 06-27-2011 at 12:54 PM. |
