Ballparks

Owners should build new ballparks over time, resulting in better financial situations for some clubs. Ballparks in poor conditions should do the opposite. Much like Football manager.

would be cool if the ballparks would age and need maintenance. Maybe be able to add things like suites to boost attendance.

A new ballpark should completely maximize fan interest for some time, while renovations would give it a boost. An aging ballpark should have an effect on erosion ...along with roster quality and record.

Why should an aging ballpark have an effect on the roster quality and record? The Red Sox seem to be doing just fine in Fenway.

Great reply, thank you for putting some logic behind this. Cubs have Wrigley Field and it is almost impossible to get game tickets for big games. The park does not alter the record and roster quality a bit.

I don't play with financials on, so this doesn't matter to me, but I would think that if ballparks aged like real ballparks - some became vintage and others became dumps, with many in-between - that might work.
