Player Aging

I would like to see the option to "freeze" a player when he retires. I sim many seasons and it is strange to see a retired player 100+ years old. Since there are no player deaths why not have the option to freeze his picture and to have his age to his age at retirement. This could be an option as some players don't sim many seasons and would like to have the retirees age as it is done now.

It could be an option as easy as "Freeze player age at retirement" The only issue I see to this option would be if a player came back from retirement to play again. Then the game must be smart enough to set the age from date of birth to current year to get his age correctly. But I don't think many players unretire a player.

That could be addressed by freezing their age at HOF eligibility. Then they would not be making a comeback.

i'd like to see them die when they reach a certian age, seems kinda dumb to have players 150 years old in the hall of fame that i can unretire and start on my team. I know medical sicience is getting better every day but i think it'll be awhile before we have 100 year olds playing baseball

I'd like to see what that HoF players ratings were when they in their prime seasons. And which team they chose to represent going in. (The latter could be as simple as adding the teams logo in the news story)

1. You can look at a players history and see what his ratimgs were over the course of his career. When he was climbing the ladder of development, when he peaked, and when he started declining.

2. Players don't choose what team they represent, the HOF decides.

Ah, I meant the baseball player inducted into the HoF.

You can still view his history.
