If we ever get audio commentary. . . .
I'd love to have a "Hometown Announcer" option for human controlled teams. That way the feel comes across that you're listening to *your* teams announcers, not the national broadcasters, and maybe they're a little more biased towards your team: the sound even more excited when your team does well and a little dejected when the game goes against you.
I realize this is a pipe dream, but it would be cool.

IMO it should be Vin Scully, if that's possible at all.

Frankly, I'd like this in text play-by-play. It would be a lot of writing work, but I think the idea of multiple "voices" would be so great. For example, you could have:
National Broadcast/Game of the Week - neutral, informed Hometown radio - knowing the guys on your team really well, emphasizing the guys most popular with hometown fans Old Time - with phrases from the era, more nickname use, etc. I have no idea how easy/hard this would be on the back end (getting the play-by-play to understand what year, town, stadium, etc you're playing in), but I think it would be so cool. The other aspect of text play-by-play I've always wanted is for the "announcer" to know what's been happening with players recently or contextually: "Jones is just 2 of 23 over his last 5 games" "Remember, Smith signed a very big contract during the off-season" "Rodriguez just blisters Cleveland pitching. He's 14 for 27 so far this year against the Indians." "It was 'Sidewinder' who served up the pitch that Baker hit for a walk-off homerun on Friday." Stuff like that and I'd just be in heaven playing out the games. I'd probably even watch games by other teams. |

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but I will take Stoney... I like Hawk for his catchphrases he isnt good for anything else. Last thing I want to hear while playing OOTP is what color underwear Yaz wear during his Triple crown season. High Heat? maybe TLR3 had Len Kasper and someone else I would like to see 2 decent announcers not just hometown guys. it would be really hard and costly to have the announcer be for the hometown i would imagine.
