please fix rain delay bug

Here is one that has always irritated me. You start a game and somewhere early on it starts to rain. Your rain delay lasts for let's say an hour, then your pitcher who has only thrown 20 pitches in the game and none for the last hour is totally exhausted. no one in the bullpen so you're stuck until someone warms up.

Doesn't it make more sense after not throwing for an hour he would be more rested??

I'd like to see this fixed in 13

It's not a bug. Pitchers have about a 30 min window before they will not continue. Some exception exist but not enough to matter.

The actual defect is that Markus should program the game not to require warmups after rain delays.

Disagree. It also happens on delays less than 30 min

This and a lack of AI needing to use the bullpen are the only two reasons I don't use warmups. I wish both were changed.

I disagree with you disagreeing I have only seen a handful of times when the SP is dead tired after a 45 min rain delay or less. Maddux pitched the top of the 1st before it started raining in Cleveland (in my game) it started raing in the bottom of the 1st rain delay started in the top of 2nd last 51 mins i believe i was still able to get 65 pitches 4 IP out of Maddux before bring in Kip Wells my #5 guy who hadnt pitched in 3 days.

I partially agree. If a starter only throws a couple of innings before the rain delay, he should be available for his next outing sooner than if he had pitched until he was pulled (or completed the game).

However, once a pitcher's arm has cooled down after he's done some work, Managers are loathe to have him continue the game. I believe they're afraid of injury. OOTP has to simulate this somehow, and short of coding something specific for this fairly rare occurrence, setting the pitcher to exhausted seems like the next best thing.

One way or the other, we should be able to put in a fresh, warmed-up pitcher after the rain delay. Right now, you can't. You either have to let your exhausted guy finish with this batter (and maybe the next one or two) or put in someone who is cold. Over the course of a season, I'd say this happens at least 5-10 times. Please fix it.
