Please fix the way ZR is calculated/determined in OOTP12 (and OOTP11 for that matter) as per
this thread. Some positions (1B, 2B, 3B, and SS) wind up with an average...Well above average i.e. +0.0 ZR. One position (C) is well below average. Outfield looks OK, but when you see 7 out of 8 positions grading out above average...Well...What is supposed to be average (0.0) suddenly becomes below average. One of the problems with this is that ZR is used in the WAR calculation and this gives the infielders a huge advantage over catchers in the WAR standings. It basically renders the in game WAR calculation meaningless. I believe it's being determined using zones on the field, but whatever it is something is off, at least in 19th century baseball where I'm seeing it. It shouldn't matter what era of baseball I'm playing in, as what it's supposed to measure is a player's defensive performance against an average defender from the year in question.
