Make transactions and lineups files editable
OOTP has always prided itself on its editability, so it baffles me that the transaction and lineup databases are in a proprietary "odb" format, especially considering that they come from a non-proprietary source.
I'd like to see these files become editable - just use the original source files instead - so that we can make adjustments. This came up for me because I wanted to create a historical league with a few differences in transactions, but I couldn't because the files can't be edited, at least not with any kind of ease.

Excellent suggestion. If the transactions were in a csv file like all of the other files in .../stats, that would be espeshly neato.
I suspect the txns are in an odb file so it processes/imports more quickly. However, if a csv file were an option, then an option could be included to point to the transactions.csv instead of transactions.odb, much like we can point to a modded master.csv instead of the database.odb file... I think that makes sense... |
