Since we see news when a team owner passes away, why not have a news feed when a retired player goes to the big baseball diamond in the sky?

Makes sense to me. And some of those career-ending injuries should be fatal, just like in real life.

this has been suggested a few times over the years. I am all for it. I SIM many seasons and it bothers me to see players 150 years old. Managers, Coaches, GMs all should have death dates.

This was the only feature that baseball mogul had over ootp. I saw a facegen of Ty Cobb at 123 yrs old and it was absolutely hideous.

I think they said a problem was if the player became a manager, the player would die but the manager wouldn't and you would have zombie managers. I don't see why they couldn't be tied together though.

Coaches, scouts, and managers should die off too- might cause some other reason for changes in personel. This way you can hold onto that legendary scout for 100 years
