Suggestions: Team Strat # and Team Strat vs Managers
For future consideration a small change and a more substantial one...
1) Any chance of getting some kind of numbering or at least lines on the Team Strategy sliders? - Same could be applied in the Player Strategy page too - What I mean is an easier way of determining where the slider sits somewhere between Never and Frequently 2) With respect to the Team Strategy sliders and their adjustment, at the risk of debating the role of GM versus on-field Manager, would there be a way to somehow relate the adjustment of the sliders? One scenario: - You employ a manager that (for illustration) loves to hit & run, steal and be very aggressive on the bases at ALL times of the games (his strategic tendencies). - But YOU set the team strategy to be extremely conservative and never run, steal, etc. - Should there not be some big time friction between you and your manager? And should that not be reflected (negatively) in some way within your organization? - Without it, the coaching strategies are somewhat irrelevant (I appreciate that they may help the progress of you players by being outstanding in a certain discipline, but I'm speaking specifically about having the team strategies YOU setup relate in some way to the coaching tendencies/strategies). - Simply, if you set the strategies, then that would be more a MANAGER mode (and you wouldn't need the actual manager)? Another scenario: - In a more GM-type mode, you would have NO control over the team or player strategies and would have to seek out and employ a coaching staff that best reflected what YOU want those tendencies to be? - It would be sort of like "asking" the manager for his strategy, and then living with it!!! - (Now that I've written that, sounds like a logical "house rule") - But I'm sure there are other ways to make the strategies more or less applicable depending on whether you want to manager on the field or strictly front office? By the way, ONLY suggestions. I am lovin' this game and know it will step up again with 13 coming!!! |
