Individual Player Salary Cap and other things

Not sure if this is already posted, but in my online leagues I'm tired of seeing guys sign for ridiculous amounts of money, upwards of 40 million per year for 7 -10 years. These guys get old and impossible to move and cripple a teams finances. Making some teams nearly impossible to fill if your a commish.

Tied into my above statement, there should be a way other than sending cash, to pay for a portion of a traded player's salary, just like in real life. A player should appear in 2 teams finances, and there should be an option on the trade screen to pay x % or something along those lines.

Here's a thought for the second problem. It's only a workaround, but it worked pretty well when I convinced a commish for a league I was in to try it.

Create a new player, edit their name to match the player that was traded, edit the contract for however much the original team is going to continue to pay. Give this new player a 500 day injury, assign them to the original team and place them on the 60-day DL. The name and salary will show on the appropriate pages. Re-edit the injury length as needed for long contracts. When the contract is finished you can delete the player.

Finally, edit the real player's salary to reflect the new team's obligation. Put a note in the player history detailing the salary split.

Given the amount of work required, you wouldn't want to allow something like this for every little piddly trade that happens, only those where significant financial dealing are involved.

We tried that in another league, a ghost player with no ratings on the DL with the reflected salary change. It works for the most part except sometimes the ghost player retires.
