If a player gets drafted out of college he is not too old for his league. Now if he had been in the league since he was 18, then maybe I would agree with you.

Btw he went,

2-5 with a 2.02 ERA in 58.0 IP. He started 10 games with 53 K's and 20 BB.

I'll give you a hint:

But still... he was playing against kids 2 years younger than him.

This doesn't negate the fact that he's a stud. 2012 World Series MVP! Book it!

Doesn't matter. College is tougher competition than high school, so a 22 year old with college playing experience should be at a higher level than 18, 19, and 20 year olds less (or no) college experience.

I agree, but the people in the higher leagues have more experience because they have had pro experience. So he needs to go somewhere.

Baseball America lists our own Andrew Bailey as the 17th best prospect in the Northwest League!!

And the blog I got this from gives him the nickname of "Bam Bam".

Forgive me, but who is Andrew Bailey and why should he have his own thread here?

Legitimate curiosity.

I just thought it was cute when I saw a guy named Andrew Bailey was an A's farmhand. So board connection + A's = a thread started by yours truly.
