OK, just wanted to ask why such a sweeping statement with no reason why. I am glad ManU's are the best because Liverpools arent.

Convincing fashion ? I wouldn't go that far, very very poor game infact out of around 6-7 games I watched during the weekend it was the worst of the lot. Didn't think either team deserved to win to be honest, Man Utd created very few chances even the goal was a scuffed shot by Rooney that fell to Tevez and Liverpools best chances were because of Van der Sars mistakes, a 0-0 result would have been fair imo.

Arsenal-Blackburn Carling Cup Quarterfinal match last night was a phenomenal game. Blackburn came in after getting torched for five goals by Wiggan this weekend, on the plus side Roque Santa Cruz had a hattrick in that game. Arsenal came off their big win over Chelsea, but played an entirely different lineup. Only Bendtner who played that last 10 minutes against Chelsea was in both lineups. Arsenal's average age for this match was 19, and Eduardo was the oldest player on the team at 24.
Arsenal came out smoking with two goals from Diaby and Eduardo. Blackburn still looked hung over from the Wigan fiasco. Then Blackburn got their senses back and Santa Cruz shocked the Gooners with a goal right before half. Blackburn momentum carried over into the second half as they dominated the first 25 minutes, getting another goal out of the red hot Santa Cruz. At about the 70 minute mark Arsenal woke back up and played the game even until the end of regulation. However in injury time Arsenal's talented young midfielder Denilson was justly red-carded for a late, two-legged tackle. All seemed to be lost for the young Gunners now down to 10 men. Then the cold-blooded, Brazillian-Croatian import Eduardo calmly stuck another one in the net to give the short-handed youngsters an unlikley lead 3-2. Blackburn gave it all they had in the waning minutes of extra time, but it wasn't enough as the Arsenal junior squad prevailed on the road against the veteran Rovers 3-2. What a fabulous match. Arsenal is almost unfairly loaded with young talent. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/spo...cle3071440.ece http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/spo...cle3071415.ece

Grass isn't always greener on the otherside, should have stayed with the Northern Ireland job imo.

Surprising Arsenal draw allows the Red Devils to jump them in the table! The season is halfway over and has an exciting second half on tap. |

Im off to buy my West Ham jersey in appreciation. Everton's avenged itself a bit by helping us come back in the goal differential department.
Not many saw Arsenal on top heading into 2008. any of you native Englishmen know where I can buy a jersey for my favo(u)rite League One side? Their website doesn't have what Im looking for and I'm hoping theres some shop that might sell em that I'm not aware of being in the States.

It's pretty obvious that the soccer gods are drunk or something because he would never let Arsenal take over the top of the EPL!
