Franchise Legends Player Claim: Joe Cronin
Until I started this, I always thought of Joe Cronin as a member of the Red Sox. But after reviewing his career, I think I could very well be wrong. The old Washington Senators (who became the Twins), have a strong claim here.
Joe Cronin The debate: Twins vs Red Sox The numbers Tenure: Twins 1928-1934, Red Sox 1935-1945 WARP 3: Twins 55.3 vs Red Sox 57.6 Championships: None All-Star: 2 appearances for Twins, 5 for Red Sox Awards: 3 Top 10 MVP finishes for Twins, 2 for Red Sox Top 5 Seasons (WARP3): 12 (T), 11.9 (R), 11.3 (T), 10.6 (R), 10.2 (T) |

Um, given the fact he never actually played for one of the two teams entered is a good indicator of where this needs to go.

I guess we see this differently. Cronin and Johnson were Senators and Campanella a Dodger. I understand what you mean, but Walter Johnson never heard of the Minnesota Twins, therefore he was a Senator.
