GREAT game tonight. What a pitching duel between Halladay and Lester. Doc must be wondering what else must he do to get a win.

Yes, it was one of those real tough outings only the great pitchers get once in a while.
Lester looked real good tonight, mixing the pitches well, throwing strikes!
I hope Dice-K was watching it real close and thought "yeah! it is ok to throw strikes from 0-2 counts!"

you are exactly right. It was awesome to see him pitching instead of nibbling the corners. This is how Lester can pitch, hopefully he is turning the corner on maturing in his career and will realize that he has the stuff to attack the zone and keep hitter off balance.

Yankees in comparison, uh, let's see, I had those figures right here . . . where the heck . . . nope, can't find 'em right now. I'll get back to you on that, OK?

No problem, 1998 Yankees!

Just make sure it will be here before your new stadium opens.

What did the ump give as the reason? All I could see was that maybe he was picking Ryan up on the slight hand movements whilst the hands were in front of him.

My PT guy for my shoulder is the Red Sox PT. After telling me that I was still at least a month away from throwing, I was visibly disappointed.

His reply: "Look. I've been working with Curt Schilling for 2 1/2 months and he's nowhere near throwing."

So, uh, take that for what it's worth.

Jeez... The Jays get rid of the Big Hurt due to his lacklustre start, and we keep hold of Big Papi after his lacklustre start.

His last four games he's hitting 0.471/0.526/0.765 That's what happens when you stick with people through the bad times.

And it is easier to stick with people when you are winning.
