Welp, Johnson was DFA'd to make room for Greg Smith.
Although, I dunno why they didn't just go ahead and put Harden on the 60 day DL, since he'll probably miss his next start too. Gosh, that doesn't sound familiar at all does it? Quote:

Susan Slusser is reporting on her blog that Harden is going on the DL and Devine is getting called up, with DiNardo likely taking Harden's start on Saturday.
**update**Manager Bob Geren confirms that Devine is en route to Toronto and he's expected to land right about now (5:30 p.m. Eastern). When Devine gets here, Rich Harden will be placed on the disabled list. Geren hasn't officially named Lenny DiNardo the starter for Saturday's game at Cleveland, but he said if DiNardo isn't needed between now and then, he'd be an option. |

Well tonight's game was sweet. Another dramatic late inning game. We are now 6-4 and have our first sweep of the season. The offense will come around it looks like. Maybe 3 runs a game is all we're gonna get, but the pitching has looked really strong through the first 10 games. Good to see Travis Buck remembered what a baseball bat is for.

Great game. But I think the A's are going to give their fans the gift of ulcers this year. There were a lot of Blue Jays on base in the later innings that didn't score. Didn't Scutaro come up with 2 on and 1 out in the 11th? It gave me flashbacks.

It's the 3rd inning, every A's starter has a hit, and we're up 6-1! What has got into this team?

The A's absolutely own him. Here's hoping he signs with the Angels in the offseason.

Made it interesting there at the end but a nice win and we're 4-0 on the road trip so far, and in first place.

Keep rollin, rollin, rollin. 8-4, two game lead in the West. I definitely didn't see this strong of a start happening this season. Let's hope they can keep it up.

The A's like winning when I don't watch. Should I risk watching the game today?

Maybe because the A's have been winning because I have been paying attention. So go ahead and watch the 99 degrees below zero game in Cleveland.

woooooo! A's win!
I had to watch on Yahoo Game Channel but Huston still made me nervous even though I couldn't see him. Yay Kurt Suzuki 4-for-4. I heart him! ![]()

Yes, it is. It's been either him or Carlos Quentin.
