Don't look now, I'm starting not to hate that Brown guy.

Same here... I just hope he doesn't fall victim to the numbers game when Harden comes back.

I would like to see the Oakland brass have some balls and send Gaudin to the pen and Braden back down when Harden comes back. The real numbers game is when Foulke comes back. There is no way Devine should be sent back down, and he's really the only bullpen candidate for that. I wouldn't mind Denorfia or someone going back to the minors and carrying an extra pitcher.

Oh yeah Emil Brown looks like the best off-season move so far. I believe he has 28 RBI now and we're barely in May. Funny how WTF? can turn to WTG! in just a month.

This may be off the subject a little but I went to the game on Sunday and really enjoyed the retro uniforms on both teams. It would be kinda cool if the A's would wear those on Sundays at home for the rest of the season. It kind of makes sense since this the 40th anniversary of the move to Oakland.

I'd rather see Duke go to the pen *shrug*

He still has a .315 OBP.

I think Beane's master plan is to have him get a bunch of RBI by hitting 5th/6th in the order all season and then flip him for a good prospect or get a compensation pick for him.

That's why I don't like the guy yet. -I just don't hate him anymore.

When Harden and Foulke come back (and it's no given that they'll both be healthy at the same time) I would send Braden down, put Duke in the pen, and trade Embree.

Embree should have some decent value and I don't think he's in our long term plans.

The only downside to that would be the lack of a lefty in the pen. I wish we could trade Foulke.

Ellis!!!

First time I've gotten to see the end of an A's game in a long time (damn time zone/work schedule). I got home from work just as they went into extras.

A's sweeeeep!

Ok who is getting sent down or DFA'd for Harden to make the roster in the next 90 minutes? I would like to see Denorfia go down and have them carry the extra pitcher, but you never know with Beane. Looking at the roster it shows 26 active players and two on the the DL. I'm glad that Buck was optioned 'til he gets his swing back as it delays the inevitable log jam in the outfield we've become so accustom to in Oakland.

My guess is Denorfia is retroactively DL'd
