On another note, who's the idiot who scheduled 20 games in 20 days to open the season?? This opening schedule is going to kill an older team like ours.
Or it could help your older team as they'll play a thinner schedule later in the year when they are more likely to be tired.

You probably already know this by now, but they put Betamit on the DL with conjunctivitis. In other words, "pink eye." LOL.

I didn't see that, I know Joba is on th bereavement list for now while with his father.

What is Girardi doing, he shouldn't say so much, nothing like putting pressure on a young player who just signed a long contract.

This business of Yankee fans booing LaTroy Hawkins out of his uniform number 21 because that was Paul O'Neill's old number is unbelievable. (He took Roger Clemen's number 22 but apparently the fans had no problem with that. )

Now, don't get me wrong. O'Neill had 8 or 9 great seasons in New York and was a member of MY team. But, he's not going to the Hall of Fame and he retired seven years ago. Be that as it may, the fans themselves may retire Yankee uniform number 21 if this keeps up! Who's running this team?

Sure, the fans should remember O'Neill. But to still be passionate enough about him to boo Hawkins off the field for wearing his number? Say what you want about Yankee fans (the latest thread, the one about hating Red Sox / Yanks on TV), but I believe I can count on one hand the number of cities that would show this much involvement and love for its baseball team and a local hero like Paul O'Neill.

When I first ready that I thought it said:

"Andy Hawkins pitches great yesterday"

I had bad flashbacks and images of pitching no hitters and losing!

Well, the best pitch that he threw was the one behind Ramirez's head! ()

LOL, Joe, I didn't realize you and I were responding with the same thought at the same time until I came back here this morning.

Quote:
On Friday, Canseco returned a call from SI regarding Dion's claim but said, "Ask him to call me. I want to talk to him before I comment on it." An associate close to Canseco confirmed that Dion is "Max" in the book.
Ridiculous. This is how he does his research? Throw something out there, then try to confirm it after it's published, when somebody challenges it?

Again, I root for A-Rod for two reasons only: 1) He is a Yankee, and 2) He has a chance to take the career HR record away from B#%&s. A-Rod as a man and as a team player, well, let's say I admire others more. Yet, I will stick up for what is right and this allegation is not IMO, as it is based solely on flimsy fluff from Canseco's book. A-Rod is right to ignore Canseco, treating him like the self-justifying, self-promoting huckster that he is.

That's F********h, myasu. I see you remembered the 8 stars, though.

For B*&!s, it must be symbols because his very name is a curse upon Baseball. However, as you can see, I have determined that any three symbols can be used, surrounded by "B" and "s" (which in English stands for something bad but you may be too cultured and unfamiliar with our language to know that).

I will just caution on the use of the "@" symbol which apparently forms an e-mail address on this forum if followed by any symbols or letters. An underline appears indicating an active link which, with my luck, someone will follow and thereby contact the CIA or the White House. Naturally, they will want to know how their secret e-mail address was discovered, and the answer will be "1998 Yankees told us."

F*********h has been suspended by the top brass for three games pending an appeal...

"B" and "s", stands for something bad in English?
Let me guess...
