MLB season awards...pathetic attempt to stay...
...in the news all winter long.
The votes were in 6 weeks ago before the post season even started, and year after year MLB rolls out one award slowly but surely in an attempt to keep baseball on the minds of sports fans. Today we get the NL Cy Young, last week was gold gloves, tomorrow al cy young, then mvp's rookie of the years, they milk the handing out of awards until picthers and catchers report. It's ok to be off the sports radar for 3 months...roll out the awards all at once, then let us get pumped up for baseball in march after not having any since the world series....leave the fan's wanting more, don't dribble out awards all winter...my 2 cents.

All winter = A couple weeks after the season ends?

And who says that we have to wait til march for getting geared up about baseball. You know that some of the young kids in your teams development leagues play winter ball right? Anyway I don't think this is a big deal at all.

I think baseball needs to do all it can to stay in the news as long as possible. There is never enough baseball talk and too much NFL talk.

When it's NFL season, it's almost like no other sport is on. Too much football talk.
