Well, I guess your tactics of changing the personality here with a new name is working...

Well, for one thing, I missed this thread and you guys! A good indication of that are the 50 posts that I have here since I returned as Bru! You and Joe and Rich and CMH and Tony and Myasu, even Russ the Birds lover, I missed kicking the basepath dirt around with.

Also, I realized two other things:
  1. What I was momentarily P.O.'ed about OOTP (that business with someday having to be connected to the Internet, at least occasionally, to keep one's license renewed) really is not that important these days with instantaneous and continuous web connectivity (I do hope that they make it occasionally and not continously, however; I do use a laptop to play the game and I like to take it on the road).
  2. It's only a game, after all. I was getting too worked up over nothing. Time to make a break, if I were to return, and I wanted to start fresh as Bru here. My post count was not important.
Lol, though. I bet it was something in my pattern of speech or the acuity of my thought process () that reminded you of the late, great 1998 Yankees, leading you to ponder whither I had gone. Little did you know that I was right under your nose, regularly contributing to your wonderful thread!

What the heck was wrong with Burnett tonight?? Close to 90 pitches and he can't even make it out of the 3rd inning. Here's hoping that we see some of Hughes tonight. I know he threw last night but I'd like to see what he could do given 2-3 innings.

Even with the 7-0 record this year between Red Sox and Yankees, we all know that this is not going to go on like this forever.
Wait! We are 7-0 against the Yankees and our lead is only 1 game?

This is going to be a long long season.

That it will be. I think the Sox and Yanks will battle it out until the end. It doesn't look like the Rays can keep up this year.

However, I am REALLY looking forward to our first win against the Sox. This is nuts.

Ok, now that we have the most consecutive games without an error, I have to ask .... what's the record for the most consecutive games WITH an error????? *sigh*

Giradi made a crucial mistake last night. I can't say I'm mad about it, but leaving Sabathia in cost you guys your victory.

58 at the moment and it was set in 2009. Somebody in the Natinals dugout claims to have put out a baseball team for each of those 58 games and that's clearly an error

OK, this is the story of the Mets franchise, is there anything greater?

Find a 2B who can catch a pop up in a new Yankee Stadium?

That was a pretty spectacular error. Thank goodness all three Yankees involved ran on the play instead of starting to walk off the field.

Probably they were expecting A-Rod to scream at the second base man.

Wow.

Ground Hog's Day?

Did I wake up in 1962 again?

Did anyone else see Casey and Marvelous Marv sitting in the shadows of the Mets dugout?

What would Ralph Kiner say?
