That is one good thing about this Yankee team, they always hustle. They have fight in them, unlike last years team which seemed flat to me. Funny thing was, I was sitting there yelling at the TV "Drop It, Drop It, Drop It" never expecting him to drop it, lol |

The fact that Tex scored from first is impressive.
I wish things like that were highlighted on Sports Center so kids can learn a lesson on running hard. I hate it when my teammates don't run hard on grounders. How many times do I have to see an infielder bobble a ball and still get the out because the hitter turned into a lazy prick that ruined the inning. I always run hard and I know that one day I'll be safe on a play that'll help my team. Thank you Texiera for doing your job.

Yes, it was not until I read something in today's paper that I realized just how impressive that was. Here is a multi-millionaire star player busting his gut on a play like that (of course, Castillo throwing to 2B instead of home also helped). What a great example for guys like Cabrera and Cano.
You see "T-Bag" (as Russ humorously called him earlier) disliked in various cities around the league for either having left or deciding not to play there, but he is getting the respect. I think I read someplace that he just moved into first place in All-Star balloting for 1B. |

And you tell me who wouldn't get pissed for being plunked in one game twice, by the same SP which couldn't look anymore intentional. |

Dola,
K-Rod Confronts Bruney at Stadium - Bats Blog - NYTimes.com K-Rod is right about one thing; criticism like this has to come from somebody more established than Bruney who hasn't done very much because he's injured too much. Otherwise, K-Rod should get off his macho horse. |

This is the Yankee team I am scared of. They finally got rid of the dead weight 1 dimensional players and have now brought in guys that can play defense and run.
They are so loaded and are now deciding to play as a team. If they continue to pitch like this(especially bullpen) and play this type of defense they are going to be unstoppable. |

Of course I hate see him come up to the plate when we play against each other, but I have a lot of respect for the guy.

Tex is on pace to put up Alex MVP numbers in the Bronx.
If only Alex wasn't hurt earlier this season. He's still playing like a guy in Spring Training right now. I might need a new avatar.

This team is looking really good so far. And that has me happy
![]() The Yankees have a lot more attitude this year than they have had in the past several years. They look hungry. Hope it stays that way (fingers crossed) |

![]() I agree with the attitude part. I'm really hoping they stay hungry. In years past, they played like they "deserve" to win, and got offended when the other team just didn't roll over. This year, they are fighting for every game (well, almost ).

I have no idea what the names of announcers are, i pay no attention to that. I am watching the YES broadcast on mlb.com. The color guy does sound familiar, i feel like i should know his name but can't place it. I'll watch the rest of the game & try an pick up the names. and gardner (i think thats his name, was playing CF) anyway, he damn near knocked himself out making a catch at the LCF wall. slammed the low wal with his lower back & banged his head on the bullpen plexiglass. my daugher walked in just as it happened, looked at me and asked "daddy, why are all sports dangerous?" I hope that kid is ok. game ended & mlb cut away before they said the final goodby thingy. i have no ide who they were
