Don't forget you can still go 13-5 against us this season.

My friend and I were just talking today about how, for many years, the Yankees used to have the hex on the Red Sox. Recently, it's been the other way around. Not taking nothing away from the BoSox - they're a good team and deserve to be winning. But five (5) straight against NY?

Of course runs of 4 consecutive victories against the Yankees are much more satisfying

Cute.

Some silver lining moments in an awful season so far:

Chamberlain's 12 strikeout performance. He showed what he's capable of when his head is in the game. Too bad he threw 5 2/3 innings instead of 4 2/3.

Rivera is still Rivera. If they can get the ball to him, the game should be pretty safe to stay in the W column.

Cano is back with a vengence.

So is Cabrera.

Hughes might be.

Tex just might be waking up from his season long slumber.

If we can get through this year with some growth for the kiddies, I can call this year a success. I know most fans, the Steinbrenners and almost everyone else in the world would say anything short of a playoff appearance/world series victory would be a failure, but I'm not that picky. If we emerge from this season with Hughes and Chamberlain being solid starters, a couple of the kiddies settling down in the pen and Cano/Cabrera being reliable parts of the lineup, I'd say we'd be setup pretty nicely for next season.

And no, I'm not writing off this season yet. CC and Tex haven't woken up yet (they will), A-Rod hasn't hit anything yet (he will), and I truly believe the kiddies in the bullpen will settle down once we get more innings from our starters (they will).

Funny how I kept looking for a mention of A-Rod and only found him in your last sentence. The guy should be a hell of an impact coming back to the lineup. Should.

Dola,

Damon keeps hitting the dingers. Good one this time; we were looking at five straight losses before he tied this game in the eighth.

Can we pull this one out?

Edit: Nope.

Edit 2: Morons booing Rivera, are you even old enough to remember his greatness? A sure Hall of Famer, recognized as the greatest closer of all time, a key to Yankee success since 1996 who is only now slowly declining and approaching the end of his career, and you fools boo him?

I was at the game and the booing is becoming annoying. These can't be real fans. They boo at everything.

Oh, boo hoo Tex is hitting .200. Let's boo him because it's been one month and he hasn't hit 15 bombs and driven in 40 runs. It's not like the guy hasn't found ways to produce. It's ridiculous. The boo birds are heavy on him and it's only been one month.

And I don't buy the "You gotta perform here or you'll get booed." It's stupid. These fans think that because the media says that's how it works that they can just do that. No one did that dumbness in the 90's when the stadium was filled with real fans. Now people think they're supposed to boo when someone doesn't perform.

It got worse when they booed Rivera. I mean, seriously now? Let's boo Rivera after one bad performance?

It's getting out of hand with the boos. It doesn't mean anything anymore. It's stupid. Stop doing it.

Well said, better than I did.

C.C. came, saw, conquered tonight. What a relief not to need relief.

For the first time yesterday, the words "Hughes" and "trade" occurred in a same thought of mine.

More like a Veg-O-Matic job. Sigh. A.J. Burnett will never come close to beating Roy Halladay head-to-head, everything else being equal.

Roy Halladay is just awesome. No shame in getting shut down by him.

Was at this game!

The atmosphere was great tonight and the place was quite packed, the 500 level was packed all the way around. The surprising thing was there didn't seem to be as many Yankee fans as I was expecting.

AJ was booed and heckled mercilessly the entire game as was Arod.

Doc was masterful!

Now, tonight's game was enjoyable (from this perspective). ()

Im watching this Twins - Yankees game and I was just curious as to if your guys players always complain about every single call? Reminds me of an NBA basketball game when Kobe is playing.
