Must get kind of frustrating in that they are more worried about winning the battle with the umps over the team they are playing

Clutch HR for A-Rod. Take note.

CommishJoe, I know your loyalties are terribly divided in this series but this has been a hell of one so far, I say!

If his loyalties are divided at all, he should not call himself a Yankee fan.

Deja Bru, note the time stamp on both posts.

Yanks must have had dinner reservations.

Should've lost all three. Hell of a series though.

LOL! The Yankees are in a groove or I'm in a rut. Or both.

Nothing divided at all. I root for the Twins unless they play against the Yankees I did have to give kudos to Morneau in game 1 and Punto in game 3 though. Both were great catches. Of course, Tex was clutch in game 3 too. Even though he's cold with the bat still, that catch with the bases loaded saved the game.

Good to see the bullpen pulling it together. Aceves was down right nasty today.

BTW -- My entire family hates the Yankees. I had a house full today as we were celebrating my baptism (ask me about it in off-topic if you want ), so when Damon hit his HR, everyone else was screaming while I jumped up and pumped my fist in the air and yelled GET OUTTA HERE!! Should have seen all of the dirty looks I got They were with love though

Did you watch the same Tex I did this weekend? His bat seems to be waking up

I heard about his 4-4 yesterday, but all I saw of him was his single in the 9th of game 1 and his O-fer today. He does appear to be waking up, but his glove did save the day today.

Haven't seen a glove like his at 1B in the Bronx since, well... Look at my avatar, definitely see shades of the Hitman in his fielding

So I am ecstatic with the way they are playing, even went to the new stadium yesterday.

However, I am disheartened with the way they are behaving a bit, this is not the Yankees we have known and love.

The Mo Hawk has to go, the pie has to stop. This was always an organization that knew how to present itself in a classy matter. Girardi has to step up and bring back some of that tradition that comes along with the New York Yankees.

I can't say that I agree with this. Remember, this is a game. Yes, it's their professional job, and there are times they need to be professional. However, there's nothing wrong with having fun at work. That's what I attribute the antics to, and it's good to see them let their hair down a bit.

Having fun at work is one thing, if George was still George tho you know he would step in. You are supposed to present yourself like Yankees, a Mo Hawk does not allow you to present yourself like Yankees!

I get the Mohawk part. The hair deal has been a big deal for the Yankees for a long time. I don't mind the mohawk, but I am surprised that it's been allowed.

The pie in the face I see nothing wrong with at all. The Yankees were way too uptight in the last few years and both Girardi and the broadcast booth have talked about how a guy like Nick Swisher was necessary to the team. Teams need to be relaxed and a good, fun environment allows players to focus on the game.

I enjoyed Nick Swisher cautiously looking around while being interviewed after last night's game. You just knew he was waiting for a pie to the face.
