3-0

This one could have been much different had Hart not gotten that second idiotic yellow last match. The Germans are ripping apart England on the counter.

They have a very strong squad of players entering their primes.
Argentina definitely has the best talent, especially if Gabriel Milito can come back into his old form. I just don't see them winning much unless Diego Maradona figures out what he's doing, and fast.

Some are getting old and some are just very average players, I was looking at Dossena and if that's the best they can do on the left then they are struggling. With the looks of it their just lucky they got put in a relatively easy World Cup group, and they've struggled in games in that group only beating Cyprus 2-1, Montenegro 2-1 and dropping points against Ireland at home.

Well played sir!

There is a steep hill to climb but all hope isn't gone yet. Even if we fail to qualify this time around, the U21 team gave us some much needed hope for the future also with the way they performed.

Anybody on the horizon to take over the crown of Henrik Larrson ? And how do you rate Ibrahimovic ? Personally I think he's one of the most overated players I've seen.

Larsson's shoes aren't that easy to fill. He is a truly unique player in the football world today due to his work ethics and lack of prestige. I remember the fools (most of them Swedish) that said that he would be a nobody outside of Scotland, and look what happened

Let's keep our fingers cross that Marcus Berg can continue his recent form and get sold to a big club in Europe. I read that Tottenham might be interested in signing him.

As for Ibrahimovic I think that he can be a truly spectacular player when everything goes his way. If he is backed up by quality players and everything is going his way I would say that he is one of the 5 best forwards in the game today. The question I have about him is wether his work ethics and temper will prevent him from going much further in the career. He also has a reputation of being hard to work with which might make clubs think twice before signing him (his asking price and salary being another thing).

My main concern with him is that I feel that he has a tendency to disappear from the game as soon as he hits a couple of obstacles.

Sweden is divided in more or less two camps when it comes to Ibra. those who think that he might one of the best players in the world and those who hate him. One of the things that prevent him from being a player of the people is most certain that he isn't named Johan Johansson and that he hasn't got blonde hair and sports a somewhat cocky, confident attitude. In Sweden you can't be confident, have a Bosnian name and grow up in the projects if you want to be recogniced by the people.

I think that one should keep in mind what he has accomplished with Juve and Inter in one of the best leagues in the world and judge him by that.

If the World Cup were being played in Italy next year, he'd be the top scorer.

Who, Zlatan? Why do you think that? Yes he plays in Italy but his surrounding teammates in Inter are twice the players than most of the players in the Swedish national team. Ibrahimovic and Sweden has had a really hard time finding the net so far in the qualifiers.

He was making a joke about his inability to score outside of Italy.

Germany have to be one of the favorites..not only for 10 but 12 and 14. They are the UEFA under 17, under 19 and under 21 Champs.

It's one of the very few things that as angered me about football, the constant put down of Larsson just because he played for Celtic. I admit I'm a big Larsson and Celtic fan but he was constantly scoring and performing for Sweden and also for Celtic in Europe and he proved it at Barca and Man Utd he was and is one of the best there's been. Weren't for him Barca would never have won the Champions League final in 2005-06.

You'd have to ask someone who reads the German sports papers if and how much it's true but during last nights game the commentators did bring up the fact that the German sports writers are wondering how many of the young players will play for the German full team. Alot of the under 21 team could play for various nations, think I'm right in saying 4 of them where born outside Germnay and many have duel nationality.
