You do if you have home field advantage.

As someone with no loyalty either way, that's got to hurt.

Same old problems for the Pack - crappy offensive line, Ryan Grant sucks, and Rodgers doesn't know when to throw the ball away. Either that or the Poor Vikings are really, really awesome on defense. Probably a little of both.

Vikings do have a great defense. But, Antoine Winfield was out and Rodgers should have been able to throw all over the Vikes secondary. Definitely a little of both.

The Vikes DL is very, very good; but they just feed on the Packers OL.

It would have helped if they chose to block Jared Allen. Sometimes they just didn't want to, apparently.

He's pretty good - you might want to leave a RB in there too to at least try....

Oh, and McCarthy sending out Crosby to try that FG was a mistake from the start, and I knew that was going to be missed.

However, the Vikings deserved to win. Harvin is a monster, they just need to make sure his head stays on straight. Him and AP are two of the top 5 pure athletic talents in the NFL.

Packers are a very good team. I think they arent aggressive enough for the talent they have. Their dbacks were giving the Vikings WRs too much space IMO. They had an interesting piece on NFL Network about the difference in defense the past 2 games prior to the Vikings compared to how they defend the Vikings. Perhaps they like to keep their corners back in case AP breaks through the line but geez they have too much talent to play that way. Capers is now 0-8 coaching a defense against Favre.

I was about to say - that's more damning on Capers than it is anyone else.

Mr. Aggressive Defense all of a sudden gets soft where it matters.

I think the secondary coverage was pretty strong, and has been. There were plenty of plays where the QB ran around and still didnt get a pass off. They just couldn't tackle in the open field for **** in the 3rd. EVERY damn play they were missing tackles. Winfield, the best tackling corner in the NFL, would have made a difference there.

BTW Cheeseheads, what is with Raji? I thought he was the main piece to your new 3-4 (nose tackle). That was what the claims were for picking him first. Is it just that he sucks and isn't who they thought he was?

Balance of power has definitely shifted back to the NFC where it belongs.

NFC! NFC! NFC!

He got hurt in preseason and has been pretty limited since. He may also suck, but it's too early to tell.

I didn't mean to imply the secondary was bad, but with Winfield out (our best corner), they should have been able to throw all over the Vikings. Both this week and last week has shown that we have some good coverage CBs even without Winfield - at least so far and I haven't seen anything to make me think it's going to change.

A good pass rush (which Minny has) can make a mediocre secondary look like an all-pro one.
