Of course not, Manuel gets blamed when Manuel screws up. Tonight they were outplayed. Sorry that I refuse to be a blind homer. |

I'm kind of glad Harry wasn't here to see what this team turned into when it counted.

Nah just willing to think logically and be reasonable. Is Manuel perfect no, but neither is any mlb manager. But is he a good manager, certainly is and has the results to prove it. Although it's baseball there's still something to be said about being 667-553, with three straight divisions, back to back pennants, a world series under his belt, and his players love to play for him. Would you like to replace him at the end of the year? I'm sure the players would respond wonderfully to that move.

Is it just possible that the Yankees are a better team?

What's your problem? It's not like the Phillies have played badly tonight. The Yankees have just played better.

Because making it to the World Series in back to back years is so common. GTFO with that garbage. With some of your past comments about Philly teams I guess such ridiculous statements from you are just par for the course. |

I think Chase Utley was the most valuable player of the Series, but Hideki Matsui will win it.

Well congrats yankees you earned it by going through the best team in the nl. If we had to lose i guess in some way im glad it was to them and not a team that shouldn't have been there.
While the yankees were the better team I will say this their celebration was lame in comparison to the phils last year. With all that money and the expectations it just all seems so contrived from the players to the energy in the stadium.

YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After 2004, I never count on a series being won until the last pitch is thrown. I gotta hand it to the Phillies. They have one heck of a team. Matsui had an incredible fairwell game. Thanks for the memories Godzilla. Glad you were able to win one in pinstripes.

Congratulations Yankees! Congratulations Phillies for the well played series!
It was a great series, and I really enjoyed watching all the games. Matsui was just amazing. It must have been a dream come true for him to have a game like this, in a pinstripe, in game 7 of the WS, and probably in the last game he plays as a Yankee.

Congrats to the Yankees on winning their 27th World Series and for the two-time National League Champion Phillies on a well played series. May the Phillies team continue to prosper.. and the Yankees go back to where they were in the early 70's..
