Unless you think you can use him on three days' rest again and squeeze him into game 7, there's nothing to be gained by pitching Lee in game 4. Game 5 is going to be played no matter what happens, and it's going to be just as important as game 4 no matter what happens.

I'm personally ok with the move to start Blanton tomorrow night. Look at it this way if you're a Phillies fan: if Cole wins tonight, then no matter what happens tomorrow, you've got Lee pitching in Game Five against either a short rested A.J. Burnett or Chad Gaudin. I like those odds of the Phils going back to New York up 3-2 if it comes to that. Also, Blanton has been the most consistant starter all season for the Phillies, and if not for a horrible April, his ERA would be in the mid 3s instead of at 4.05 for the year. I'll take my chances with Blanton against CC, because Lee is waiting in Game Five, and it is going to be just as, if not more important, than Game Four.

think its a mistake to start this one now and not wait it out for a couple hours to see what happens. The rain wasn't predicted far enough in advance and its suppose to pick up over the next couple hours. This has game 5 of last year written all over it again.

Considering the score youd' wonder if it was the other way around.

Hey guys I found a way to get rid of McCarver and Buck. I turn the volume down on my TV and tune my XM radio to Channel 176 and listen to the Yanks announcers. So much better

Gotta hand it to the Yankees, they fell behind early in that environment and still managed to battle back and win it pretty easily.Of course it helped the Hamels was awful, again.Watching him is like watching a bad movie, what a disappointment he's been.

Well I'll concede the series to the yankees cause it's aparent the phillies won't be able to take 3 of 4 from this team to come back. To be honest I wasn't that impressed by petite compared to cc and burnett mainly due to the fact that victorino, howard, utley, and ibanez just had some of the most awful abs i've ever seen out of them. But otherwise, Hamels is the one guy i'll throw under the bus from the team. The knock on him inside the club house was that he had a tremendous amount of talent but a narcisistic attitude and horrendous work ethic, seems pretty true. He never developed a third pitch and admitily didnt take care of himself in the offseason and it shows. Whenever I've had the chance to see him this season the biggest difference is his fastball tapers off from around 93 to the high 80s by the middle of the game and thats when he gets clobbered, its happened all season, his arm just isnt in shape. His whole attitude, falling asleep in the dugout during the game bothers me as well. I'm all for a guy being relaxed out there but that to me is a little over the top. Besides that though I'll take the world series last year, they deserved it, and the yankees deserve theirs this year.
