What is the problem with Packer fans?
Seriously, they are acting like they lost their first born son. They have replaced him with a great QB why do they need to act like the end of the world because Favre is a Viking. Again, Its not as if Favre didnt want to come back and play with the Packers. Ahh, sickening.

If he were to come out and say "hey, this isn't about the fans.....I loved my time in Green Bay, I loved my teammates and most importantly, the fans....I just want to get back at Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy", I would be fine. I'd get back that respect for him.
But until he does, it's to be assumed he's turning his back on EVERYONE associated with the Packers.

At least Packer fans finally understand this post after 18 years of denial.

I'm reminded of when Favre said that "true Packers fans would understand" why he went to Minnesota.
I can only guess, as a Bears fan, but I think Packers fans are accustomed to a different bond with their team than fans of other NFL teams. I don't think that any other fan base is quite as invested in their team - figuratively and literally. So for their hero to waffle about whether or not he wanted to play there, to be so indecisive about playing when they still wanted him... I don't think Green Bay Fan can relate to that. |

I'm going to laugh if the Vikings win the Super Bowl. The cognitive dissonance of Favre playing a large part of the franchise's first championship will be amusing.

Well, I dont know about the fans or the management. But, the way he went about was a very crappy thing to do to Aaron Rodgers, if nothing else. Personally, I am beginning to think he wants to play, but he doesnt want to go through training camp anymore. So, he will likely retire after this year, and come back with the Vikings next mid-August.
