Infield Fly Rule
I've never seen or heard of it, but what happens if after the umpire signals that this is the case the catch is bobbled and dropped?

Runners always advance at their own discretion. Dropping/bobbling is the reason there is an infield fly rule. Infielders would purposely drop it and get the double play. Every once in awhile you'll see fielders still drop it on purpose as to try and trick the runner into thinking he has to go. I haven't ever seen it work.
