No announcers
So far in the 49ers and bears game on the NFL network there have been no announcers through the first two series. Technical difficulties I guess, but it is kind of crazy to have any. I didn't want to hear Matt Millen all night anyways.
![]() Dang they fixed it about 5 min into the game.

It's funny that this happened. I myself have said that I wish there were an SAP option on sports broadcasts that cuts out the announcers and all you can hear is the sounds of the game. This would be especially useful for any game that Joe Buck calls. I miss the days when commentators just called the game instead of trying to be the show.

I remember hearing about that, but it wasn't a huge rating draw I guess. It kind of felt like I was at the stadium where you could hear the crowd and just the refs calling penalties. I have watched a lot of football in my life and this was the first time that I've seen this.

In this age of satellite and on-demand cable, it cannot be far off. Customization of one's broadcast seems inevitable.
