Don't remind me....it's just 92 more days(chances) for alcohol-fuelled incidents to occur, spoiling the season before it even begins. Shame really, as I love the game.

Hooray, at this rate, every club will have a player arrested, fined or suspended.

How good is Jake Friend ? Says they've suspended him but even if they fire him and he's a decent player there will always be one team willing to sell their soul to the devil no matter what a player as done.

Is there a bigger tool then Todd Carney in the NRL right now? No surprise the Roosters wanted him.
Roosters to investigate Carney incident 67 days for players to make fools of themselves. |

And I'm glad to be posting here with NO new "incidents" to report. I just wish this Willie Mason to the Cowboys(or anywhere else but the Roosters) would be resolved. The moron is getting far more press then he deserves.

I'm surprised he wasn't able to get a gig in England or for some rugby team. It's amazing that a couple of years ago they were talking about him playing in the NFL.

I think it's because he's now an injury prone idiot, who is approx 50% as good as he thinks he is. As for the NFL, imo that was both him talking himself up, and his agent trying to extract more $$$ from potential teams interested. I doubt he'd make tryouts for the Rams!

To be honest, I wouldn't have minded if the Tigers picked him up for a year at $60K. As long as Sheens was able to sort him out and keep him from becoming a cancer, having him come off the bench wouldn't be too terrible.

Yeah, no doubt someone will pick him up and he may do well for someone as an impact player. As a Sea Eagles fan(yes, start the chorus of Boo's) I am just glad they decided he wasn't the right fit. We are still getting over Stewart/Watmough etc and a player with Mason's reputation would have been a real kick in the face for loyal fans.
Looking forward to the Allstars game Feb 13...it's at Skilled Park/Gold Coast right? Interesting concept for Australian sport. |
