Same here ... He was absolutely fantastic to watch whenever the Orioles comes to Fenway ... what a Dynasty ... I will always be so thankful for his name on the best standard of PC Baseball Game in the 80s ... THAT game was so much fun and will always enjoyed the "stickmen" playing on the field ... RIP, mate ...

I agree about the game. It's really the first BB computer game that I got into.

A highly respected opponent. From a Yankees fan, that's praise indeed.

Growing up in southern PA, I saw him a lot...and I loved his passion for the game. That always stuck with me. R.I.P. Earl.

Yes, this game was a classic. And so was Earl. He was ejected 91 times, including both games of a double-header. If you look up "pepperpot" in the dictionary, you will find his picture.

He developed the strategy of waiting for the three-run homer, still quite popular today.

I'm trying to decide whether the bolded part is hard or easy to do. I'm leaning toward "easy" because, if the umps were po'd at you in the first game, they are still going to be primed for the second one!
