The name that jumps out at me is Ivan Rodriguez.
I also agree this is the year for Bagwell and Vlad. |

With my ten slots, I would choose: B. Bonds, R. Clemens, C. Schilling, J. Bagwell, M. Mussina, I. Rodriguez, L. Walker, E. Martinez, M. Ramirez, and T. Raines.
I'd love to shove S. Sosa, G. Sheffield, V. Guerrero, and J. Kent on there, but as of right now there's no room. I think Bagwell gets in and Raines gets in, and possibly Trevor Hoffman, which maybe bodes well for Billy Wagner down the line. I think the confirmed PED guys continue to go backwards or stay stuck in neutral. I think Guerrero and Rodriguez have excellent first attempts, although Rodriguez' first attempt may be a bit slower than it should be as punishment for nefarious suspicions, and I think he'll pick up steam next year. Posada could get more traction than he deserves to due to the whole core-four thing. I have just one question in all of this. When he does go in, who will be Vladdy's interpreter? I don't think I ever heard of him speaking a word of english while in MLB. Could be an interesting speech. |

You hit my list so well that I would only exchange Ramirez for Raines and Schilling for Mussina.

Pudge, Vlad, Bagwell & Sheffield. i heard a stat the other day that goes something like this. Vlad is one of 7? players to have at least 449 HR and a .312 or better average. Foxx, Ruth, Gehrig, Musial and forgot who else.
Also going with Baines by the Veterans Committee. If he gets in i will be there to see my all time favorite player go in.Went when Thomas, Maddux, Larussa and Co go in.

Wow, these lists get so hard now.
Bonds Clemens Rodriguez Bagwell Raines Hoffman Ramirez Blake Guerrero Kent Still a fence sitter on Mussina and Schilling. When the ballot clears up a little, I'll probably feel better about them. They were certainly good pitchers. |

The HOF being so dumb on the PED issue has made it so that a backlog of 15-20 players need to be inducted.
I gave up on the HOF years ago as incapable of recognizing who needs to be in. |

My selections here were who I thought were going to get voted in, not who I would vote for. If I had a vote, I would vote for the following:
Bagwell Bonds Clemens Vlad Kent Raines Manny Pudge Sosa Sheffield Plenty more I'd like to see get in as well. Hoffman, Schilling, Mussina, McGriff, etc.

To be fair, the writers have put nine players in in the last three years. A lot of them were "Captain Obvious" picks though. They really screw up when the obvious milestones aren't there and they have to put some actual thought into the process.

These people would get my vote:
Jeff Bagwell Vladimir Guerrero Ivan Rodriguez Tim Raines Trevor Hoffman Jeff Kent Edgar Martinez Fred McGriff Mike Mussina Lee Smith If I had more slots, I'd throw a vote to Jorge Posada.

Bonds, Clemens & Manny will not go in anytime soon. Pudge may not even get in with the steroids allegations.

I'd vote for more than 10 if I could, but the only one I really care about seeing get in is Tim Raines. It'll be a sad day if he doesn't make it. After that is Edgar and Vladimir.
