Falcons making D-coordinator the scapegoat
Absolutely absurd to me. The blame for the comeback laid on the offense's shoulders. D set the O up w/2 TO's for TD's. Gave up a TD thanks to Ryan's fumble. The playcalling on offense didn't eat up time or Pats timeouts. O wasted a T.O. in the 3rd & great field position after an onside kick recovery.
It's ridiculous to blame the DC. I also understand they are replacing the d-line coach. After the unit sacked Brady 5 times.

I agree. There was enough blame to go around. Personally, I thought Matt Ryan made some terrible decisions, taking the strip sack and the other sack that put them in long-yardage and out of field goal range. He had an incredible season and postseason up until the final quarter of the SB. He was not the only one to blame, though.

Yeah, that is totally ridiculous. The defense played way better than I expected. They almost single-handedly won them the game in the first half.
They lost the game when they turned first down in safe FG range into 0 points and no Patriot timeouts used up. |
