This is kind of a strange request but an idea none the less

Why not have an option of having the player control the referee. Let me explain why this might be interesting. For starters, you need to take in to consideration that fights today are stopped for less reasons than were stopped years ago. I mean look at Robinson-Lamotta the guy had blood all over his face and nobody stopped it. Now its like if you look dazed they stop it.
One of the matchups I have always liked is Rocky Marciano versus Jack Dempsey. But I think the game stops it too quick. I mean if Rocky can fight with his face covered in blood and have them NOT stop it I think it would be interesting to see him fight Dempsey under conditions I am not saying this to see fighters getting hurt I am just saying it to make the game more realistic.
I know there is a plus and a minus side to this that has to be paid attention to. The plus side is that it would be more realistic, unfortunately the minus side although its a negative is something that does happen in boxing. This is the fact that fighters do die in the ring. SO I guess if you allow the player to be the referee we then have to ask the really rough question at what point do the fighters die in the ring?
Now another advantage to making the player be the referee is this. There were times when the referees were SO biased against fighters it did not matter what happened they lost rounds. What do you think of my suggestion of letting there be an option where the player can step in and be the referee?

Personally, although it happens in real life and I have been present when it did, I would not want to see fighters die in this game.
