Paul, file this under: For future consideration.

First time I opened a fighter and saw Personal History, I wasn't sure what to make of it. Was it biographical? A list of his personal foibles?

Why not just call it: (See below)

Make your way here:

\Documents\tbcb2013\data\languages

Make a copy of the Spanish.ltf file and rename it Cap.

Open up the Spanish.ltf file.

* Now what I do next is open up tb and change the language to Spanish. *

In this example we wish to change the Personal History text, in Spanish Historia personal.

So I search the file for Historia personal and find:

<TRANSLATION>
<COMMENT>Scanned by PageTool - Code</COMMENT>
<KEY_LOCATION file="fighter_page.cpp" line="73"/>
<KEY_STRING>Personal History</KEY_STRING>
<STRING>Historia personal</STRING>
</TRANSLATION>

Now open up the Cap.ltf file and delete everything and insert below:

<LANGUAGE name="Cap">

</LANGUAGE>

We only need to change one line to earlier find. (I remove comment too)

<TRANSLATION>
<KEY_LOCATION file="fighter_page.cpp" line="73"/>
<KEY_STRING>Personal History</KEY_STRING>
<STRING>What text you want in game</STRING>
</TRANSLATION>

Take your edited piece and slot it into the above brackets.

So ending you should have:

<LANGUAGE name="Cap">
<TRANSLATION>

<KEY_LOCATION file="fighter_page.cpp" line="73"/>
<KEY_STRING>Personal History</KEY_STRING>
<STRING>What text you want in game</STRING>
</TRANSLATION>

</LANGUAGE>

On reading this back, realize it's a bit text heavy. It really isn't as complex as I made it look.

Any help needed I'm happy give it a try.

Just want to change "Personal History" to "Ring Record". Is there an easy way?

Here's the file to do what you want - Cap.ltf

Just copy into \Documents\tbcb2013\data\languages

Missed a step. Didn't know I had to select "Cap" as a language. Now she is working!

Hey, Bob. Do you know any way to fix the column setup in an organisation's Rankings table? I was thinking if it were possible to make the "Record" column wider it wouldn't cut off the last number as in: 21-10-2 (

I looked through that language thing til my eyes hurt but couldn't see anything.

Had a quick look around and it's not obvious to me... might need more assistance on this one.

I emailed Paul to see if there was something we could do. Might be like the Fight Screen situation and coding. I have new respect for programmers after looking through that language file.

If you just want to change Personal History to Ring Record copy the Cap.ltf file above to the folder Bob described. When you enter the game change the lanuage in Options to Cap. I was going to say you could rename it something else, but then I saw it was created with "Cap" inside and I have no idea what would happen if you renamed it.
