Escobar was trained by Ray Arcel and Whitey Bimstein.Arcel
was the primary trainer for Escobar, and Bimstein served
as Cut Man until 1934 when he and Arcel split for financial
reasons, and they went on to train more World Champions than any
other trainers in the history of the sport.
