I picked up four tickets today. 13 rows back in section 4 was the best that I could do at the $100 level. I couldn't stomache the extra $100 per to move 20 feet forward.

Meet me outside the lobby at 6:30 on the 9th guys.

The Arena houses 33 executive suites, 1300 club seats, 3 large hospitality suites, 13 loge suites, wide concourses with ample guest amenities to bring all guests up close. Patrons have marveled at the design of the venue. With just 26 rows from the floor to the top of the seating deck in the 10,000-seat Arena, guests are close to all the event action.

No tickets on-sale yet for this. I'll keep an eye on it. Bridgeport is only about 20 minutes from New Haven and I can run down to the box-office almost any day during the week.

Any of the CT crew interested?

Darchinyan in Bridgeport?!

I am absolutely interested. Is this to be in the hockey arena or the baseball stadium at Harbor Yard? Open air would be great!

It appears to be the hockey arena that sits next to the Harbour Yard ballpark

I wouldn't bet on Taylor at this point ... once my kid leaves maybe we will take a trip to CT to see a fight with you all

That would be most cool. the closest I've been to KY is Dayton, OH two summers ago . . . not that far I guess.

I tried for a long time to get behind Taylor. HBO pumped him as the next great American fighter, Olympian and all that . . I tried, I really did. But he just never did blow me away.

Pavlik said after his disposal of Miranda, that Miranda's rep was a media creation (he did give him credit though for being good). I think JT and Miranda are both world-class guys, but their images have been enhanced as well by HBO, an outfit that had something to gain by their success.

I think you hit it straight on the head with HBO and how they overhype fighters and then when they don't reach their expectations or lose some fights, they jump right off the bandwagon and start criticizing the said fighter once the investment goes south. Vernon Forrest is a prime example. When he beat Mosley twice.....they made him into the next dominanting force in the WW division. Then came the fights against against Ricardo Mayorga and boy did that tune change fast. I can name numerous fighters that HBO did that to and they turned into either good/decent fighters or cannon fodder that was relentlessly bashed by HBO even though their hype machine created it.

Shakha Moore (9-11-3) vs. Jason Bouvouso (5-3), welter, 6
Cortez Bey (5-0) vs. Sebastian Hamel (6-9-1), light, 6
Mickey Bey, Jr. (6-0-3) vs. Feliz Fernandez (1-1), light, 6
Elvin Ayala (16-2) vs. Julio Jean (7-11-3), middle, 6
Adelita Irizarry (0-1) vs. Tiffany Lucas (0-2), chicks, 4

Ayala (New Haven), Moore (Norwich) and Irizarry (Hartford) are the locals. I'm curious to see the Bey brothers, though. I didn't know anything about them, but they appear to be pretty good prospects out of Cleveland. They are trained by Floyd Mayweather I and promoted by Roy Jones II, so that says something good.
